Traveling to and from Spokane
The
Spokane
airport is served by most major airlines and several regional
carriers.
Greyhound bus
service and
Amtrak train service
are also available.
Transportation from airport to campus
The GDI does not run a shuttle to the campus. However,
there are multiple inexpensive options for traveling to the campus from
the airport, bus or train station. Fortunately, the campus is close
to the airport. A taxi to the campus from the airport
is approximately $20. Anytime Anywhere Taxi (509-536-1666) provides
24-hour taxi dispatch service. This is a safe, inexpensive method of
traveling to campus. Have the taxi/shuttle take you to Welch Hall on
the Gonzaga Campus. The dorm is on the corner of Dakota and Boone
(see map). There are also private shuttle services you can
contact on the airport website.
Students are encouraged to share taxis with other students
to defray costs.
On departure day, July 26th, the GDI will provide a charter bus to take students to the airport. This
bus leaves at 9:00am. Any student who needs a ride to the airport may
ride the bus at no charge. Even if your flight is in the afternoon
you should take this ride to the airport since you'll need to check out
of the dorm by 11am anyhow. If you need to be at the airport earlier
than 10:00am you need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service.
