At the GDI we understand that a
positive summer institute experience can be a financial burden
on many families especially in our current economic climate.
Because of that we want to do everything we can to help students
afford attendance. Below is a list of financial aid and
scholarships available to prospective GDI students

Below are the financial aid opportunities available for students
attending GDI
1 - Merit Based
Scholarship. Awarded because of a students previous
success and achievement in academic debate. To qualify for these scholarships a student must submit
a completed
merit
based scholarship form and at least one letter of recommendation from a
coach or former lab leader.
2 - Need Based
Scholarship. Awarded based on a students demonstrated
financial need. To apply for a need based scholarship a
student must submit a completed
need
based financial scholarship form and a letter from a parent or legal
guardian requesting a need based scholarships including an
explanation of any circumstances we should consider.

Alumni Scholarship.
Returning GDI alum automatically receive awards based on the program you
enrolled in. The alumni scholarship is a $50 deduction PER WEEK of your program.
So the 5 week is a $250 deduction, 4 week is $200, etc.
4 - UDL Discounts. If you are a UDL director or a coach of a UDL
school please contact the GDI for more information regarding
discounts for your students to attend GDI.
5 - Group
Discounts. Schools that send 5 or more students to the GDI
will be credited with a 5% discount off the total
cost of a students program. This discount is applied to a students account once 5
students from a single school have applied and submitted their
deposit.
